Obituary of James E. Shepard

James (Jim) Edward Shepard passed away June 25, 2023.
Born June 5, 1960, he graduated from Willsboro Central School in 1979 and was a lifelong resident of Willsboro. Jim proudly served in the US Army as an ammunition specialist for 24 1/2 years, and in his service took trips around the globe, enjoying Germany the most.
An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish. He belonged to a hunting camp in North Hudson, NY, and weekend trips there were a favorite pastime for many years. He enjoyed growing vegetables in his own garden. He also loved dogs.
Jim is predeceased by his parents Morris & Dottie (Dorothy) Shepard and his sister Hope. He is survived by his children Katie & Alex Shepard, his sisters Shelley & Sheri Shepard, aunt Vicki Putman, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Essex County Veteran’s Cemetery in Westport, NY on Saturday July 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
