Obituary of Pamela T. Green

Pamela Torrance Green 1949-2023 Pamela (Pam) Torrance Green, 73, of Thornwood, NY, passed away on July 18, 2023, surrounded by her family. Pam was born in Lake Placid, NY on July 23, 1949 to Kenneth and Peggy Torrance. She went to Lake Placid High School, graduating in 1968. Pam went on to graduate from Pace University with a BSN in nursing and was a dedicated nurse for over fifty years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Pam loved to hike and camp, refinish furniture, work on DIY home renovations, take care of her beloved animals, and spend time with her family and friends in Lake Placid. She spent her life helping others whenever an opportunity arose and was known for her sense of humor and generous spirit. Pam was predeceased by her late husband, Michael Pappas of Mount Vernon, NY in 1975. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, B. Gordon Green, her children Jeremiah and Alison Green of Redding, CT and Jocelyn and William Austen of Witham-on-the-Hill, UK, as well as her five grandchildren, Cyrus, Archie, Penelope, Althea, and Sebastian. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m. at M.B. Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid followed by a short service at 2 pm.
