Obituary of Catherine "Kate" Desautels

Kate Desautels passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023 at her home in Rouses Point, NY with her family by her side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. We lost a beautiful, kind-hearted lady with a big smile, but heaven has gained an angel. Kate is now watching over all of us. Kate greeted everyone with a big smile and was a friend to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Kate was born on March 14, 1948 in Hanover NH to William and Janet Carey. They pre-deceased her. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 53 years Stan Desautels, her daughter Karen (Mark) Searles, her son Joseph (Kathy) Desautels and her grandson Ben Searles. Sisters Pat Carey and Rita (Mike) Fay, brothers Bill (Anne) Carey, Dan (Gail) Carey and Jim (Kathy) Carey. She is also survived by Stan's family: Sisters in law Ann Bilow, Michele (Ken) Gladd, Colette Saucier and Noelle (Eric) Mesunas. Brothers in law Michael (Diana) Desautels, Phil (Teresa) Desautels, Ross Desautels, Stephen (Tina) Desautels and Christopher Desautels. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Frank and John and a sister Georgianna. In accordance with Kate's wishes, there will be no public calling hours and services will be at the convenience of her family.
