Mary was such a dear, dear friend. Even though I live in Virginia, we always connected through the forty years of our friendship. My parents belonged to Epworth United Methodist Church in Hollywood, Florida so I saw her all the time when I came to visit my elderly parents. She attended my dad’s (John Strickler’s) bible study for many many years. John was the dog in her puppet shows. Even though Mary and I were not blood kin, she was a true christian sister to me always. In the preface of my thesis, she is noted as such a wonderful support to me while I was getting my masters degree in education. I was blessed to have had Mary and Fred in my life. She would always end her conversations with me with I Love You, God Bless. I will miss you, Mary. Regenia wine(daughter of Arlene and John Strickler).
