One of our favorite places to visit during our summers in Lake Placid was Touch of Glass where we loved to chat with ‘Brother Bob’ while rummaging thru his remarkable collection of Adirondack memorabilia. His passing leaves a large hole in the Community.

Dear Family, Relatives, Friends and Aquaintences of Bob Peacock,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
Countless words, [like these] probably seem so empty at times like this. This has to be especially true when someone, like me, who never met, Bob, writes those words. I only knew [and learned] of him as a part-time employee of Non-Vintage Antiques. However, I learned a great deal about Bob through the quality of his businesses, the incredible devotion of Mareiline to him, and the countless coustomers the spoke such kind words about him and asked about his health. All of these suggest to me that he was quite a man, and he will be missed by many.
What a life Bob must have been able to live. He was able to walk this land in the same footsteps of all his Peacock ancestors. He was ableto walk under the same Adirondack Skies, feel the same winds, touch the same mountains, and call Lake Placid "Home." He was able to walk the old trails and able to look back in pride at his honored heritage. He was able to hear its laughter and its songs and grow, to stand and be himself, one day, now remembered.
He carried forth and represented the Peacock legacy quite well. Now he belongs to the ages of Lake Placid.

Rest my College Friend without any pain....you are now free. I remember with a smile of our days commuting to Paul Smiths every day in the Austin Healey....stopping by the dairy to thaw the ice off the car. A lot of laughs....Freddy's , Arena Grill....the old Mon Amour Days we thought we were invinsible. Those were the days. Glad we shared those times. Dick Jones

Bobby and I graduated High School together. We always were friends and he was my first date. I think I was just a preteen when he asked me to a Boy Scout dance. After I moved from LP, I occasionally would check in on Bobby in his store to say hello when visiting during the summer.
