The family of Sue Ann Belrose regrets to announce that Sue’s beautiful, enormous presence left her body on 1/2/2024. We would like to share some of the things that we loved most about her.
When Sue laughed, her face lit up and her big dimples appeared. She loved babies and dogs more than anyone you ever met. She collected things on a giant scale, a trait in her DNA from her father who she missed dearly for the last 26 years. She enjoyed a daily dose of other people’s drama, whether on reality TV or Facebook. She loved her students like they were her children, enough to invite one into our family and he remains our son and brother to this day. Her favorite music included James Taylor, Carol King, Cat Stevens, and Jim Croce. There’s comfort in their songs for us. Listen to them. She was a lifelong list maker and we will continue to find them around her house until the end of time. As she expressed so many times and in so many ways, she had unlimited love and pride for her children and grandchildren. She usually had her bubba keg and “swill” close by. She handled her medical issues with a great deal of strength and dignity. She loved her community of coworkers and neighbors and was there for them whenever possible. Sue was an exceptional wife and partner for over 47 years. Her favorite food was a crusty loaf of bread.
Needless to say, she will be deeply missed by her mom Theresa Venne, her husband Dan, her children Derek (Dawn), Rachael (Andrew), and James (Sam) Jennette, her grandchildren Eloise, Charlie, Immy, Gabe, Lee, Max, Jo, and Cassidy, her siblings Barbara (Mike) Maille and Tommy (Neila) Venne and their families, her brother-in-law David Belrose, and her best friend in the whole world, Jon (Karen) Provost. Her dogs Ozzie, Bubba, Pippa, Sassy, and Tilly miss her terribly.
A celebration in her remembrance will be announced soon. Rather than flowers, Sue would have sincerely appreciated a donation to an animal support organization of your choice. As her family, we ask you to remember her by loving each other the way she loved all of you.
