Obituary of Luke Anthony Kempa

Luke Anthony Kempa, age 61, a former resident of Lake Placid, NY died Friday, August 2, 2013 from complications associated with Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mr. Kempa was born November 4, 1951 in Lake Placid, NY. He was the son of Ralph Anthony and Kathleen (Patnode) Kempa.
He was a Graduate of Lake Placid High School, Class of 1969 and attended New York University in New York City. Luke was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan and enjoyed following New York Giants football but his love was for the Yankees.
He is survived by one brother, Joe Kempa of Lake Placid, NY and one sister, Helen Chambers and her husband Steve of Liverpool, NY. He is also survived by his nephew Brendan Chambers of Massachusetts and many cousins.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 6th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 7th at 10:00 AM at St. Agnes Church, Lake Placid, NY. Rev. John Yonkovig will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
