Obituary of Carol J. Mossey

Rouses Point Carol J. Mossey, 69 of Chapman Street, Rouses Point, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, January 7, 1945, daughter of the late Henry and Mabel (Hemingway) Goven. Carol married Gene J. Mossey on August 1, 1964 at St. Mary's Church in Champlain. She worked for many years at Delegar, Inc. before taking a position at Wyeth-Ayrest Labs in Rouses Point where she worked for 25 years prior to retirement. Her loving family includes her husband of over 50 years, Gene Mossey of Rouses Point, her children Lori Peete of Champlain, Mark Mossey of Rouses Point, and Jeffrey Mossey of Rouses Point, her grandchildren, Chelsea Peete, Justin Peete and Cheyenne Mossey, her great-grandchild Jaiden, and her brothers, Robert Goven of Clifton Park and Neil Goven and wife Dawn of Palatine Bridge, NY. In addition to her parents, Carol, was predeceased by her sister June Sachse-Bottner, brother-in-law Paul Sachse, and sister-in-law Shirley Goven. At Carol's request there will be no public calling hours or funeral services. A private committal will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Mary's Cemetery, Church Street, Champlain. Contributions in Carol's memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Rouses Point Rescue Squad. Arrangements are in the care of M.B.
