I only just found out about Emilie's passing and I am so very sorry for her family's loss. Emilie was my first real friend. I remember spending countless summer days at her family's home on Sentinel Road. We were truly on top of the world and many of my favorite childhood memories include her. Goodbye Emilie, thank you for making the world a brighter place during your stay on this Earth.

I will always remember when Emelie was in my camper group and we collected pet rocks and made homes for them. I am so sad to hear of her death. Thinking of you, Cathy, Joe and Eric.

I remember the "terrible teen years"; she was a little devilish, along with my daughter and others. She then became a mother and the love she felt for her children was so strong, and very touching, to listen to her talk about them warmed my heart and showed what was inside of her. She, also, became a nurse; I knew when Emelie was with my patients, in better times for her, I did not have to worry about them. She was very hard working ( so much so that I tried to get her to quit St. Joes because she was working nights & then 40 hrs on days with one of my patients and she was sick [very bad bronchitis] but insisted on working) and so caring. She was so much more than her demons she was fighting; such a smart, caring & loving soul. The smile she hid behind was beautiful and infectious. These are the things I hope her children/family remember. I know my daughter, Meghan, and I will.

That beautiful little 2 year old was at the Awards Ceremony near the LP airport became the crafty little 8 year old who loved beads and making kid jewelry on the porch at Sentinel Rd. Later she became the loving Mom of Orion and then had 3 beautiful girls. I also remember Kathy having to coax her down the aisle at her wedding to Joe. My heart goes out to your family, Kathy and Joe. My memories of E M E L I E... that's the way we spell Emeile will forever live fondly in my heart..Love and Prayers Barb Hawes Kerr

To...Kathy and the children, I do not know what to say. Emelie certainly touched my heart and soul, she was such a kind and loving person. Her children were her world...the light that would come to her face and eyes when she spoke of them where brighter than the Northern Lights. We may have been friends for a short time but it will be a memory I carry with me forever. We recently (last week) had a conversation and before we hung up she told me she loved me, it took me back at the time. But I am so grateful we shared that sentiment with each other. I will miss her terribly, and can't imagine the pain your experiencing right now. Now that the sky will remain a little brighter because another angel is in a star looking over us. God bless...and please if I can be if assistance in anyway let me know. Sincerely, Maria Drew
