Obituary of Emelie K. Hughes-Lamb

Emelie K. Hughes-Lamb, age 32, of Lake Placid, NY passed away peacefully and too soon on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital in Potsdam, NY. She was born July 10, 1982 in Saratoga Springs, NY. She was the daughter of Joseph Vernon and Kathryn L. (Kindle) Lamb. Emelie was a beautiful compassionate loving soul loved by her children, her family and many friends. She attended St. Agnes School and Lake Placid High School in Lake Placid, NY and Seton Catholic School in Plattsburgh, NY and earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from North Country Community College in Saranac Lake, NY. She had worked at North Star and St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center in Saranac Lake, NY and Sunmount in Tupper Lake, NY. Emelie is survived by her four loving children, Orion, Aurora, Bryer and Chloe Torrance; Her parents, Joseph and Kathryn Lamb of Lake Placid, NY and Martin and Dawn Hughes of Tupper Lake, NY; five brothers, Erik Lamb, Martin Hughes Jr., Christopher Hughes, Michael Hughes, and Elliot Hughes; three loving grandmothers, Harriette Kindle, G. Winifred Lamb and Katherine Hughes. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by three grandfathers, Harold Kindle, Martin Hughes Sr. and J. Vernon Lamb. Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 11th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 12th at 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Lake Placid, NY. Rev. John Yonkovig will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
