So sorry to hear of Lisa's death. I will always remember her and the fifth grade team with fond memories. Mary Jane would come back from a LEGS trip to Lake Placid and share all the great stories. Also, our adventures in cross country skiing with the Dyslins in Vermont and in Lake Placid will stay with me forever. We have been truly blessed to have known Both you (Nick) and Lisa.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Mrs. Dyslin was one of my favorite teachers and I drew on my memories of her when I became a teacher myself. I have particularly fond memories of her reading aloud "Brighty of the Grand Canyon". I also loved seeing her when she sang in Cappella with my parents. What an interesting, neat, smart, caring and fun person. My prayers are with you.

I worked with Lisa for over 20 years at EES. She was a fabulous teacher with tremendous energy! I was fortunate to work with her as a grade 6 teacher. We got together many times with her neice, Kenzie and my daughter at her home and at her aunt's cottage at Lake Pocatipaug. I also had great fun at her Lake Placid home with other teachers (LEGS). She was always someone you could depend on for just about anything! Over the years I really got to appreciate her honesty and sense of humor. Some of my favorite memories were of Lisa always trying to get us together for fun times like game night at her house.
To Nick and family - how lucky you were to have her positive attitude in your lives! My thoughts and prayers to you all. Cheryl Mclaughlin

Lisa knew how to keep memories alive. She carried her camera with her everywhere, capturing moments streching from great happenings to embarrassing mishaps. Pictures of a group of ladies raising a toast over lunch to a group of 3 ladies, fear written all over their faces as they dicovered they were high in the air on a chairlift for 2! Lisa managed to capture it all. Friends were seen at their best and worst through Lisa's lens. She enjoyed life and wanted others to also. She loved outdoor sports which is why if you visited Lisa at the Quaker Mt home, you spent much of the time outside, skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, or walking. Freezing cold, it didn't matter. Then to spend the evening with friends made everthing so warm again.
Her love of kids and a passion for teaching made her one of the best. I know because I was there. She was greatly missed when she retired.
I will miss not hearing from my friend. The pictures she posted, the birthday card, her Christmas letter; all will be missed. But I thank the Lord for having known Lisa and for the memories. May God bless and comfort her husband, Nick, her sister Ruth, and the much loved nieces and nephews.

I just learned of Lisa's passing, and it hit me pretty hard. I only knew Lisa from the years we worked together on the Northern Forest Canoe Trail board of directors, but we definitely connected. She served more years than I on the board, but we left the board at the same time. I have a picture of Lisa and myself together at that last meeting having fun and posing with ceremonial canoe paddles that the board presented to us. She was on the board when I joined and gave me a warm welcome. She was a great colleague and a kindred spirit.
My deepest condolences to Nick, family, and other friends.

Nick, so sorry to hear of your great loss. For years I have been wanting to look you up this is a sad way to remind me. I hope you have loved ones near you to give you support and comfort. It's been many many years that have gone by and I would like to make contact with you again but this is not the time to talk about it.So many people I know have passed on, Jeff Reese died last month, my old girl friend Judi Johnson just had a stroke out in Ariz. There is always a sad time in our lives when we get this age. Anyway I wish you well ,stay strong (easy to say, I know) thinking of you.

We we shocked to read about the passing of our classmate Lisa Malmquist Dyslin in today's Hour in Norwalk, CT. Lisa was liked by everyone and had so many friends. We were like a family back then, not like it is today. Lisa and Nick have attended some of our reunions and we were so happy to see them. I think our 50th was the last time we saw them.
We are so sorry for your loss Nick and we will cherish the memories of your wonderful wife and partner. Our heartfelt condolences are with you and the entire family.
