Taking trips to stay with my grandparents were the fondest memories. The memories of staying in their home across the street from the Lake Placid Department are the foundation of my youth. They are the fondest, most loving and supporting experiences I had growing up. The examples, and morals of both my grandparents taught molded me as I transitioned from a child, into a man, a soldier, and eventually a father myself. I love my grandmother, and she always made me feel special and safe. She was the kindest and most patient women I ever met. Their love held our entire family together. They led by example. This is something I will never forget.
It saddened me greatly when she passed. I was deployed to Ukraine with the Army National Guard. I wanted to be with her and tried everything I could to get a flight back. Unfortunately, I couldn't. When the news was given to me that she passed I wept uncontrollably. She was my last living grandparent when she passed away. To me this was the end of truly unique era, and the glue that held the rest of our family together.
But not all is lost, and the best thing we can do is take her memory with us. To pass on tradition, and the way she loved to our children and grandchildren. Let us never forget what a truly unique and kind person she was. May her memory live on, and may she be reunited with her husband Ray and her daughter Patty. Let her and Ray's love draw us together as a family and keep up together.
With My Deepest Sincerity and Love,
Brian Kennedy

Just yesterday I learned of the passing of Lera Lincoln who I had known for 70 years which is when we moved to Lake Placid and her treasure of a husband, Ray, became a virtual member of our family. My earliest memories are of playing in the Lincoln's old home and the adjacent barn and going into the kitchen filled with the most wonderful aroma always emanating from the oven. The image of Lera's calm, warm, and patient smile will remain with me forever.
My thoughts are with her wonderful children especially Donna, Tommy, and Sandra with whom I stood in front of their house waiting for the school bus, of my mother's great helpers Mary and Annie (who used to call my mother Mrs.Jinsky) and Kathy, and Teresa and Jay.
Please let me know when the internment will be scheduled so that I may attend to offer my last respects.

Bobby and I send our sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. I will always remember her with a beautiful smile on her face. I often thought of your family as mine growing up with 8 siblings. It takes a special angel to raise a large family. God bless you all.

As a close Friend of Patti, I was frequently invited to the Lincoln home across from the Fire House after play practice or cheerleading practice or a game Patti & I were cheering at and Mrs. Lincoln treated me like one of her Daughters! She always invited me to stay for dinner. She is a wonderfully kind Lady. Mrs. Lincoln will be truly missed by all those who knew & Loved Her!
My Husband John and I especially would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to Sandy Lincoln Foster who took great care of me during my physical therapy stay in Uhlein Mercy Center some years ago. Hopefully your loving memories will console you during your sad times. May God bless and keep you giving you in good health and happiness throughout the New Year & Beyond. Wishing You & Your Family all the best Sandy.
