The passing of Mrs. Bergamini marks the life well-lived of a wonderful individual who touched many lives over the years. I had the privilege, for a short while in the 1980's, to serve with her as a fellow board member of the Northwood School. I share in the wonderful remarks of Ed and Judi Good, who knew her better, and clearly appreciate what she contributed to the life of Northwood well before and after my service there.

Judi and I had the privilege of knowing Kay since our arrival in Lake Placid in 1972. Since that time Kay remained involved in the life of Northwood School while serving as a member of the Board of Trustees in various capacities.
Kay will always be remembered as an elegant, kind, gentle and friendly person. She always projected a quiet positive attitude and a calm demeanor that centered her decision-making on behalf of the school. During her lengthy tenure as Trustee, Kay oversaw the transition of the school from single sex to coed, construction of dormitories and classroom buildings, expanding enrollment and international student focus all while guiding the school on a solid financial footing. I particularly appreciated her leadership during my tenure as the school's Headmaster from 1997-2015.
She will be sorely missed but not forgotten.
