My memories of Cathy are great sense of humor, kind and loved God. She visited my parents many times in their final days and always offered any help they might need.
My deepest sympathies to my cousins and their families.

I am so sorry that the world has lost such a great woman. I attended St. Mary's at the same time as Cathy 1963 - 1967. Even though she was in an upper grade, she was always kind, cheerful and helpful to me when I joined her in the Speech Club. When Mom moved into Senior Housing in Champlain, she was delighted to have someone who loved attending daily Mass at St. Mary's as much as she did. Cathy and Mom became great friends and the two of them had many wonderful times together - going to Mass, Novenas, St. Mary's and/or St. Patrick's events and going out to enjoy breakfasts and dinners sponsored by any and every group in the vicinity. This past fall when I was visiting Mom the three of us went to "Friends" in Rouses Point. We had such a grand time! Cathy regaled us with stories from her younger days all the way up to that time. She accomplished so much more than most people and she never let her health issues slow her down - what a dynamo! She worked on her home's roof and painted it herself!!!
Both Mom and I were blessed, indeed, to know her and revel in what a fantastic person Cathy was every day of her life.
It has to be so difficult for you all, her family, to have lost her so unexpectedly. Please know that the love and good that Cathy shared so freely with others is now coming back to surround you and assure that she will be missed, but always remembered with great gratitude and awe.
Praying for Peace, Comfort, Strength and Serenity to surround you all as you grieve the loss of your beloved Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Loved One, Sharon

So sorry to hear the news. Steve, I clearly remember the time we went bird hunting with Cathy. She was such a nice person as is the entire Gooley family.
Kim and I would be there today if we still lived in New York. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bev and I offer our most sincere condolences to all of the Gooley family. Cathy was a very gentle person who always took the time to speak with us in such a kind and friendly manner. Having attended Saint Mary's Academy, we were privileged to have the opportunity to interact with not only Cathy, but also her siblings. What a close tight knit family they were and still are. To all the siblings and those who loved Cathy, we share in your grief and will keep you in our prayers. May our good Lord comfort you during this most difficult time.

Dear family of Catherine Gooley,
I did not know Catherine but I knew Carolyn back in the late 1960's in the Upward Bound Program.
My sincerest sympathies for the loss of your sister. She's pain free now and in a sacred place.

To the entire Gooley family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of Catherine. She was a very dear friend of mine who took me grocery shopping and out to lunch one or twice a month. My son, Patrick, often helped her do odd jobs in her house when he was home visiting. She was considered very special to me and my family. My fondest memories of Cathy were in the month of June. My husband and I celebrate our anniversary on the 15th and she would treat us to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. To celebrate her birthday, I would treat her to lunch at 99 Restaurant. We enjoyed many lobster rolls together there. My family and I will miss her dearly. May God bless and comfort you and give you strength. God bless Catherine for her friendship as you welcome her into the kingdom of heaven.
