Obituary of Doris L. Peryea Fell

Doris L. Peryea Fell, age 94, of Lake Placid, NY passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid in Lake in Placid, NY. Mrs. Fell was born December 18, 1924 in North Bangor, New York. She is the daughter of the late Stephen and the late Mary (DeGray) Peryea. She was predeceased by her husband Rev. J. Bernard Fell December 10, 1985 he was the love of her life.

Doris was the queen of 1st Lake Placid High School Winter Carnival. She was a member of the graduating class, or High School Class of 1944. Mrs. Fell had worked in Lake Placid, NY for New York Telephone Co. and was also employed by Lake Placid Central School District, Lake Placid, NY as a(n) teachers assistant for Mrs. Alice Wood in her kindergarten class.

She is survived by one daughter, Colleen Jones and her husband Tony; one son, Stephen Fell; seven grandchildren, Kiana Fell Dupre ( Mike), Faith Fell, Cody Greenley (Rachael), Stephanie Sears (Alex), Jessica Sears, Stephen "Bernie" Brunson and Timothy Sears (Violet); one sister in law, Lois Peryea; four nieces, Doris M. Firsching, Andrea M. Lawrence (Adrian), Chi Chi McMahan (James), and Elizabeth Cummings (John); five nephews, Ricky Morford (Anne), Dana Peryea, Larry Peryea (Laura), Eric Thew, and Lawrence Peryea. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Caidogan, Zane, Bob, and  Allicen. 

Mrs. Fell was predeceased by three sisters, Dorothy Tomasch and her husband Paul, Doretta Morford and her husband Andrew, and Derma Thew and her husband Charles; four brothers Douglas Peryea, Donald Peryea and his wife Mary, Dewey Peryea and his wife Fran, and Eugene Peryea.

There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held at Adirondack Community Church in Lake Placid, NY in June at a time and date to be announced. Burial will be in North Elba Cemetery. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
