From Bev Clark, To my sister-in-law Edie, Bill, Charlene & family, Bo & Dana & family, my daughters-Debbie, Melissa, & Colette & your families, Louise, all of Moom's other grandchilren, nieces, & nephews: My heart goes out to all of you as we mourn the passing of Moom. I was lucky to have been able to visit her 2 yrs,ago in the nursing home, & had hoped to go again this yr. Memories of my time knowing Moom go way back to the summer of 1964. I was 16. On my 1st visit with her, she was in the backyard brushing her adorable Pomeranian, thoroughly enjoying every minute. She shyly smiled as she greeted me, holding the dog up for me to see. Fast forward to January 1970: Moom woke up early to comfort me when I had labor pains for my 1st child, reassuring me that she would'nt let Popi drive me to the hospital in his old rusted out pick up truck, or on the back of the snowmobile, as he teased me he would do if it kept snowing hard. I remember the Easter Moom put Freshen up gum in all the kids baskets....the same year my 3 yr old ate the entire packet plus some of her sister's. Thanks Moom. I remember awesome Thankssgiving dinners. Mooms stuffing was the best I've ever had to this day!! Xmases driving from Rochester- Moom waiting at the door to help undress 2 toddlers & help a 6 yr old get boots off. Moom always telling us, "Make sure you get the girls a doll. Every little girl needs a doll under the xmas tree!" I remember all the grandchildren running around the backyard with the dogs, with Moom watching them play with a huge smile on her face. There are so many more happy moments. The picture of Moom sitting near the window at the nursing home, smiling so happily as she watched her young grandsons hold up a sign that read, "Hi Moom! We miss you! We love you!," is how I will remember her best. You are truly missed. Rest in peace, Leona.

My grandmother was a very strong woman. And also very sweet. She always had a smile on her face when she greeted me. She took care of all of us, children, grandchildren..... and of course Poppie, who I'm sure is glad to have her back. She will be missed, dearly.

Leona always welcomed me with a smile and would let me give her a hug. I would tell her that I was hugging her for her family when they couldn't be with her. I miss that smile every day. Thank you for giving us the pleasure of caring for her.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Though I never met Moom, I felt like I knew her. My friend Charlene shared many stories with me over the past few years. I know she will be missed.

So sorry for your loss, a great lady who will be missed, the last of the family to go back home with Ralph and Lillian. Always felt and enjoyed the times with her and her awesome family....I and my late sister Nancy would talk and laugh about going to her house and having to "hit the deck" per uncle Howard if we got the joy of a few gun shots.....going passed the house...LOL
Thank GOD I still have such great memories to tell my children and grand children.
