To Roberta, Rosie and the family,
I loved working with your mom on the Ambulance she was a great and knowledgeable EMT. Your father and her were founding members of the Ambulance Service and they will be missed by all.

I remember my sisters and I coming to New York to visit relatives every 2 to 3 years and spending summers with our relatives. The 3 of us would start off the summer staying with our grandmother and then each of use would start visiting our other relatives. Elly was our father's sister. We always had a great time visiting Aunt Elly, Uncle Bob, and Roberta and Rosie. Aunt Elly loved to walk outside in the trees behind their house and in town. I remember she could walk very fast especially when I was smaller so I would try to talk to her to get her to slow down or try to have her stop to window shop so I could keep up.
Things did not change much over the years. After our father had passed away I remember Aunt Elly coming to visit us in California.
I and Mom picked her up at Union Station the downtown LA Train Station because she had a difficult time flying because the air pressure on her ears caused a lot of pain. One of the things Aunt Elly wanted to do was visit Mission San Juan Capistrano for the return of the swallows. We had a great time there but it was hard to keep track of Aunt Elly she was always walking all over the place until we started finding things that were interesting and could hold her attention for a few moments.
She was a great woman, loving, caring, lots of fun and energy, and I know my sisters and I always remember those summers fondly and Mom and I had a wonderful time visiting Mission San Juan Capistrano with her. She will always be missed and our hearts and thoughts go out to Roberta, Rosie, and all their families. - Gordon Jr

To Roberta, Rosie and the family,
Your mother was one of my favorite neighborhood moms. She and your father did great things and were loved by our town. She worked with my mother at Uihlein for a while...always helping others. Please know that she and your entire family will be in my family's prayers. Let me know if I can be of any help to any of you at any time.
Take good care of yourselves and each other.
