Obituary of Eleanor M. Wells

Eleanor (Elly) Musgrove Wells: Elly passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown, NY. She was married to Robert J. (Bob) Wells who passed away March 4, 1999. Elly was born March 19, 1930 in Jay, NY the daughter of Oakley and Flora (Colby) Musgrove Elly was raised in Lake Placid, NY where she continued to reside most of her life except for a couple brief periods of residency in California and Colorado. Elly and Bob were founding members of the Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service and were devoted members for many years. She was also an active member of her church. Over the years Elly was employed at Lake Placid Central School, Uihlein Mercy Center and Cornell University Farm on Bear Cub Road in Lake Placid, NY. She is survived by her by her two Daughters, Roberta (Ed) Decker of Lake Placid, NY and Rosemarie (Rosie) Smith of Saratoga Springs, NY. Elly is also survived by her grandchildren, Tammy (Aaron) Cheateaux, Sara Kate (Jamie) LaBoy, Brad (Julie) Smith and Conor (Kayla) Gray and her Great Grandchildren, Jalen, Rhen, and Colden LaBoy. There are no services scheduled at this time. A private memorial will be held by her family in Lake Placid, New York and Moab, Utah (one of her favorite places). The family suggests memorial donations in memory of Eleanor M. Wells be made to the Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service,Inc., Po Box, 107, Lake Placid, NY 12946. The M. B.
