Obituary of Michael Anthony Quinn
Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael Anthony Quinn, 64, passed away on November 2, 2020 surrounded by his wife and children.
While Mike referred to himself as 'just a bartender' his family, and the community, knew him as so much more. Mike touched so many people with his selflessness, wild grin, open nature and his affinity to tell stories; harboring quotes and memories in order to turn his life into prose for others to share. There will never be enough words to describe how beloved a husband and father that Michael was. His love extended to the Adirondacks, peaceful boat rides with his wife, St. Lawrence University, the much-maligned Jets and Mets, feeding the neighborhood chipmunks off his deck, and the close relationship he shared with his beautiful wife and each of his children. No matter how big or small, Mike was always eager to tell everyone and anyone who would listen about his childrens' accomplishments over and over and over and over again. A one-man family historian who loved sharing his heritage and memories about anyone who crossed paths with, from childhood to old age. Even if you merely met him in passing or knew him for decades, everyone made an impact in his life and his family is in awe of the impression he made on others.
Michael wanted to become a 46er and his family will make sure he reaches those two final peaks at Cliff and Redfield. We will continue to climb with you, now and forever.
Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years Elizabeth, children: Nicholas, McCayla, Gabrielle and Elijah; brothers Andrew, Sean and Barrett; sisters-in-laws Amy, Genny, Stephanie, Sheryl and Olga, his nieces and nephews: Cassie, Lauren, Logan, Caitlin, Megan, Patrick and Kevin among extended family, SAE brothers and lifetime friends. Mike is predeceased by his siblings: Jimmy, Kathy, Thomas and Jeremy, Parents: Patricia and Nicholas Quinn, Grand Parents: Elizabeth Walker, Fred Walker, Catherine May Barrett Quinn and James Quinn.
