Mrs. Racine, all I can say is that you were *that* teacher. As much as my parents, you are responsible for the man I am today, both personally and professionally. You kindled a curiosity in me for history and life and the world. Serendipity was an incredible creation, something that could only be borne and sustained by someone like you. I know I'm one of many whose lives you made better, and you'll forever be in my heart.
