Vicky. Betty, Barbara and Jody,
So sorry to hear Dick's passing. I remember the motel and the bait shop with great fondness. Dick was always busy with something. I wish you all peace and love.

To all the Fadden Family:
Very Sorry to hear of Richard's passing. My Mom, Winnie (Taylor) Nolan and him were first Cousins. Her Dad, My Grand Father Francis Taylor and Aunt Helen were Sister and Brother. I have fond memories of my Mom's stories growing up in Lake Placid. Spent many times sitting on Aunt Helen's Front Porch when I was younger. Sadly the only one I remember is Barbara Clark, she helped me out a lot when my Cousin Gary Skinkle passed and wanted to buried with my Grand Parents in Lake Placid.

Every community has that once in a lifetime 5 generation family that has contributed to and made life a little more special for the residents in Lake Placid. From the early years of Adirondack Plumbing & Heating, to the Four Seasons Motel, Sentinel Sports Shop, the Whirligig County Fair Peddling, Dick and Kay Fadden’s presence in the community was felt and continues to be remembered.
For the family and especially their Grandsons, how heartbreaking it is to lose both Grandparents within a month. However, how blessed Christopher, Jeremy, and Colin are to have Grandparents who loved them unconditionally and supported them in all their goals. Over the years, the memories, wisdom, and guidance they shared with them will guide them in their own lives as husbands and fathers to their children Torin, Teagan, and Jonah.
Thoughts and prayers to all of the Fadden’s young & old.

My whole life I have listened to my brothers share stories of Grandpa Dick and Grandma Kay. I was not as fortunate to have grandparents local to the area. So, in some ways, I lived vicariously through the boys in their stories of after-school snacks with Grandma, fishing trips with Grandpa, or just poppin' in to say "Hi!". From a young age, I could recognize just how large of pillars Dick and Kay were in Christopher, Jeremy, and Colin's lives. I have no doubts that their legacy will live on for many generations to come.
We are thinking of you all.
My sincerest condolences,
Jillian
