Mike was a dear, soft spoken friend who will be greatly missed in Lake Placid. We shared many fun stories whenever running into each other on Main Street or at St. Eustace. Knowing that Mike is now at rest, my loving thoughts are with Debbie and Peter.

Dear Debbie and family,
John and I are so sad to hear of Mike's passing. He was a great person.
He was SUCH a character. He could make a dog laugh, without even trying and had a heart of gold, if he liked you. HA HA! He was always with a quip and a smile. I enjoyed walking around the Lake with him and laughing the entire way, making it go a lot faster. The three of us would occasionally sit at the bottom of the old Ski Jump, in John's '64 Impala convertible and, watch a Football game and share a big bottle of Budweiser and MANY a laugh.
Our sincerest condolences to you and yours.
Heather and John Dreissigacker

Michael worked at Ormsby’s news shop while, as a teen, I worked at the Trading Post. He was so generous, kind and supportive of me for those 5+ years and always took the time to chat and put a smile on my face. I will always appreciate, in a town where uniformity was valued, Michael’s unique style, openness and individuality. He was a ray of hope for my future.
Wishing comfort to all those he left behind, and prayers that his memories bring you each joy. Kim

Dear Debbie and all friends of Mike - I always thought that Mike had a wonderful sense of humor and I loved that about him. He was a social butterfly and, as an introvert, I welcomed his newsy visits whenever he stopped by my office (former St. Eustace secretary) to visit and/or whenever we had occasion to have a meal together. He kept the news flowing! He will be sadly missed - what a character and what a gentle man.

Debbie,
I am sorry to hear of Mike's passing. You know he adored you and he often reminded me of how grateful he was to you when I would see him on Main Street. He brought a smile to our faces with his wry observations. I will remember him with fondness.

It has been years since I have seen Michael, but I will never forget his smile or his kindness. He would brighten up your day whether you ran into him on the streets of Lake Placid or in the halls of the LPHS. I wish that his sister and friends will find comfort in their memories of Michael.
