We grew up with Fred and Ethel and the kids and when they visited his father in Lake Placid we would get together. We went on picnics, they visited us in various places we lived and we spent Thanksgiving holidays with them. They are all dear people to me and wonderful memories. God Bless them all. Fred was a great man.
I remember how he was concerned for his students at school. As a principal he would try to guide you to make good decisions in life. Wish I had known he was living in Sarasota, FL where I have been living for many years. Would have loved to spend some time with him as an adult and gotten to know a different side of his life.
I always enjoyed conversing with Fred & Ethel at my family business, Goodies Snack Bar in Addison VT. He was always so cheerful and had many interesting stories to share. I will miss him.
